<p>The NIU3A is a small, rugged, low-power, self-contained processing and multifunction I/O system preconfigured with 24-CH programmable Discrete I/O, 8-CH ARINC 429/575, 4-CH CANBus and 2-CH MIL-STD-1553 functions. The NIU3A can also be configured with up to three smart Configurable Open Systems Architecture™ (COSA®) function modules. The NIU3A boasts Dual or Quad Core ARM Cortex®-A53 processors for customer software applications and I/O and communications management. The NIU3A is configured with two 10/100/1000BASE-T (GbE) Ethernet ports and an RS-232 port for maintenance / diagnostic or configuration interface. Ideally suited for rugged Mil-Aero applications, the NIU3A delivers off-the-shelf solutions that accelerate deployment of SWaP-optimized systems in air, land and sea applications.</p>



<p>The NIU3A rugged multifunction I/O and communications platform provides scalable system level solutions enabling networks including on-board vehicle, marine and aircraft platforms, to field and expand digital network architectures for network-centric operations. A dual capability module slot allows for PCIe modules that offer support for single channel, Tri-Redundant TTE / AFDX (ARINC 664 part 7) / Best Effort Ethernet (2 x 10/100/1000BASE-T) or two nodes with 3 ports/node FireWire (IEEE 1394) communications interface.</p>

This small, low-power unit is ideally suited for rugged military, industrial, and commercial applications. It delivers off-the-shelf solutions that accelerate deployment of SWaP-optimized systems &#8211;&nbsp;<em>in less time, with NO NRE.</em></p>



<p>All products are designed to operate under extreme temperature, shock, vibration, and EMI environments.&nbsp;EMI filters and gaskets meet or exceed MIL-STD-461F and MIL-STD-810G requirements.</p>



<p>The NIU2A unit includes BSP and SSK support for Wind River® VxWorks® and for Xilinx® PetaLinux (w/optional ARM Processor). In addition, SSKs are supplied with source code and board-specific library I/O APIs to facilitate system integration.</p>

<p>NAI’s SIU36 is a highly configurable rugged COTS system or subsystem ideally suited for military, industrial, and commercial applications that require high-density I/O, communication, Ethernet switching, and processing. The SIU36 uses up&nbsp;to six NAI field-proven,&nbsp;3U OpenVPX boards to deliver off-the-shelf, SWaP-optimized COTS solutions that&nbsp;<em>Accelerate Your-Time-to-Mission™.</em></p>



<p><strong>Adaptable&nbsp;Architecture</strong></p>



<p>NAI’s Configurable Open systems architecture&nbsp;offers a&nbsp;choice of over 70 intelligent I/O, communication and Ethernet switch functions, as well as single board computer (SBC)&nbsp;options. Preexisting, fully-tested functions can quickly and easily be combined in an unlimited number of ways to meet system requirements. Individually dedicated I/O and communication processors allow mission computers to manage, monitor, and control the functions via single or dual Ethernet ports. Alternately, select one of NAI’s 3U&nbsp;SBC options.</p>



<p><strong>Software Support Kit (SSK)</strong></p>



<p>If required, the SIU36 offers a choice of 3U OpenVPX&nbsp;processors: Freescale&nbsp;PowerPC™ QorIQ<sup>®</sup>&nbsp;T2080, Intel<sup>®</sup>&nbsp;Core™ i7, or&nbsp;ARM<sup>®</sup>&nbsp;Cortex<sup>®</sup>-A9 &amp; -A53, enabling customers to choose their ideal SBC. Each SBC supports NAI’s COSA<sup>®</sup>&nbsp;architecture to maximize configurability, versatility, and field-proven reliability. Software support includes Wind River<sup>®</sup>&nbsp;VxWorks<sup>®</sup>, Xilinx<sup>®</sup>&nbsp;PetaLinux, Microsoft&nbsp;Windows<sup>®</sup>&nbsp;and DDC-I Deos<sup>®</sup>.
